Proposal

The Logical reasoning that I will use in my op-ed is the evidence I found that prop 30 will cause if fails.  I found that if prop 30 fails the schools will be getting more cuts. The school will get millions of cute. The classes will be more crowed. There will be less counselors and nurses at our schools. There will be less money for books and resources for our schools. The school will be cutting three weeks of school. After school programs will not exist no more. USC will be getting cuts of $250 million, result in class cuts and layoff of faculty. Prop 30 basically can change my future and for many other students. It scares me to think that prop 30 can fails and I will not continue my education.  Many people will lose their jobs and wonder if I will see my counselor next semester. There is a probability that my little sister will not go to after school if this proposition fails.

I am using logos to make my audience see and believe that that prop 30 will make a big change to our education system. Some of the audience might have family that will lose their job if prop 30 fails. Some of them have kids and that will affect them to. Their kid of little brothers will not continue in the after school program. For some kid this is really helpful to finish their homework.

I as a student in Cabrillo College have seen every semester that effect of the cuts. Every semester I have a hard time enrolling on to my classes. The first week of school, I see many students seating on the floor because there are so many in the class that there is not enough chairs. Every semester I can’t enroll into all the classes I need to because there are so many student. Many good instructors have been layoff because of the cuts and there are fewer classes. I believe that education is something important and that’s the reason why am continuing my education here in Cabrillo college.

Using ethos will make audience believe that this issue is affecting me to achieve my goal. As a result of the cuts, it’s taking me longer to transfer to a graduate and transfer to a University. This is not only happening to me but also to many students that want to continue their education.   

I am scare to think that I will not graduate because of all the cuts. I wonder if I will complete my education and transfer to San Jose State University. All of these cuts will stop me from achieving The American Dream. I am not the only one affected by this issue but also your brother, sister, or your son. Many mothers and Fathers are deciding to come back to school because of the economy but some of them will not make it because cuts to schools. This semester I only enroll in to three classes because the classes are so pack, nut I believe I got in to some classes. I heard from my friends that there are people that did not get in to any classes. The cuts will also decide the future of many high school students the will graduate and want to continue in higher education.  Many students will not come back the next semester

By using pathos am hoping to make a connection and convince my audience. Am hoping people will vote yes on prop. Many parents children are graduating want to continue in higher education. Everyone in the audience has a connection to the facts I gave.
